Safety is something that we take very seriously at Gerard Sheet Metal, our people are the most important asset that we have and ensuring their safety comes before any job or financial goals. Safety is not something that we merely check the box and proclaim that we have a safe environment. We are always striving to provide the safest workplace both in our shop and at our job site locations.



Safety Principals

Top Down – A safe environment starts at the top, but all our employees are encouraged to voice any concerns and give any ideas for ways to create a safer workplace.

Planning – Before any project starts we examine the worksite, the project design and the material we are installing. This is where we identify any possible hazards before we are onsite, so we can formulate a plan to safely complete the work.

Execution – When we are onsite our Foreman, Project Managers and Safety Manager will make sure that our plan is being implemented correctly. Any changes that need to be made to the plan will be implemented and we will ensure that all proper PPE, equipment and safety checks are employed.

Audits – During a project and after all projects are completed we examine each project to see what could have been done to increase safety and what was done that we can implement on future projects.
